Solar Future of Nigeria Started Today – HRH Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim, Nigus Investments
During the first ever solar event in Nigeria, “Nigus-LTI Solar Investment Summit” we spoke to HRH Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim, Chairman of Nigus Investments, the company which aims at exploiting the enormous potential for solar business in the country.
Prince Malik believes, that Nigeria will become the renewable energy hub for ECOWAS (The Economic Community of West African States and it will become the largest solar nation in Africa in the future, and that this future started today.
Nigus Investments in cooperation with German renewable solutions provider LTI ReEnergy and support of NIPC (Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission) have concluded plans with the Federal Government to build five 100 MWp solar power plants worth $600 mln in North-Eastern states of Nigeria and aim at setting up the renewable energy hub in Sebore Export Processing Zone in Adamawa State
This exciting event gathered representatives of the relevant Government Agencies such as Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) or Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading PLC (NBET) as well as key industry and business stakeholders and national media – and SolarPV.TV was proud to contribute to it.
