It is a pleasure to present you another in our series of SolarPV.TV Country Updates  this one is focusing on Solar PV in France. This update introduces you to Richard Loyen of Enerplan (the French Professional Association of Solar Energy).
 
In the coming weeks we will also update you on Solar PV in countries with the biggest markets and also with the biggest market potential.
Richard speaks of the Ambitious roadmap for the Solar PV market in France.

Who is Richard Loyen?

He has been involved, as co-ordinator or partner, in many European funded projects (DG TREN, Thermie, ALTENER, OPET, SOLARGE, European solar Days, …) in the renewable energies field since 1995.  Head of Enerplan, the French Solar Professional Association since 1999 until now, he conducted many studies related to solar energy policies, benchmarking... He is also totally involved in the French dissemination and promotion program of solar thermal equipments in building sector, “Plan Soleil”, in coordination on industrial and professional actor actions, en relation with Ademe

 

Working for both sectors: photovoltaic and solar thermal, on technical, marketing and policy aspects.
Since 2006 to October 2008, head of Qualit’Enr association (more than 14 000 installers involved in quality schemes).  Responsible for launch and management of a interprofessional association (renewable energy industries and handcraft unions), and development of quality schemes for installers (Qualisol for solar thermal, Qualibois for woodfuel, and QualiPV for photovoltaic) under a matrix approach (administrative requirements, training, audit of installations).
Since 2006, member of Estif Board, the European solar thermal industry federation

Since 2007 until now, at Cap Energies, cluster of competitiveness on energy in Provence Region, member of strategic comity, responsible about solar sector (ST, PV).

Since 2009, expert in Tunisia to develop quality schemes for the solar thermal sector in relation with administration (ANME) et professional sector (CSEnR) : development of solarkeymark.tn scheme for material, and qualisol.tn for installers.


Enerplan is an association, a solar energy professionals network in France that works for solar energy development since 1983. With more than 250 members, our missions: Represent the French solar energy sector, structure the solar energy sector (Solar Thermal & PV) and develop the demand.
