SolarPV.TV team attended the 1st International Conference on PV module recycling organized by PV CYCLE and EPIA in collaboration with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre.
We had the opportunity to learn first-hand from different industry associations and companies what is currently being done to implement recycling mechanisms and to minimise the environmental impact of end-of-life solar panels.
Today we are bringing you our interview with Dr. Eckart Doering - Manager Batch Supply, Glass Ceramics & Borofloat at Schott AG who talks to us about synergies between TV monitor recycling and Solar PV.
Who is Dr. Eckart Doering?
Manager Batch Supply, Glass Ceramics & Borofloat at Schott AG
His main area of study was the study of mineralogy at the University of Hannover, concentrating on : x-ray diffraction, crystal growing, phase transitions; since 1988 with Schott AG.
Working areas included, glass defects and process optimization in the crt glass melting department, development and implementation of the tv glass recycling.
