We also hear how SolarPV related market is set to increase by 27% and how the Fraunhofer ISE in Germany say that a 6% reduction in FIT’s would be achievable without significant disruption to the industry.

We also hear how First Solar has taken its 2009 revenue past US$2 billion how Belgian company Enfinity is set to construct a 150,000 solar panel plant in Ontario and we also hear that Israel have started talks with Egypt about establishing a joint solar project in Egypt’s Sinai Desert.

We have loads more news, people on the move and some details on mergers and acquisitions, please take the time to look at our news and get you and your company up to speed with all the news in the SolarPV world.

Last week we also brought you a country update from France with Richard Loyen, General Secretary of Enerplan the association of solar energy professional’s network in France.

He speaks of the Ambitious roadmap for the Solar PV market in France. He also tells us about the Market Tendencies in 2009, he also speaks about the new Feed In Tarrif in France. He tells us about new Solar PV standards for the future and of a new 10 year guarantee for building technology.

Please also have a look on related videos available in French we have received from our friends from SER, the French Renewable Energy Organisation:

  • Photowatt Technologies. The oldest French solar PV wafers, cells and modules manufacturer

  • EnR - Le Chemin de la croissance, SER, French Renewable Energy Organisation

We would like to remind an interview with Richard Loyen we took few weeks ago, in which he discusses with us some of implications of the FIT cuts in France.

... and finally, we invite those who have not seen yet, to watch a fascinating  Reportage containing the interview with Anne-Marie Idrac the French Minister of State for foreign trade at VINCENT Industrie.

The new format of the 4th PV Fab Manager Forum will address the contribution of technology and manufacturing to reach Grid Parity as soon as possible in order to generate new growth and prospects for our industry.

Discussing Burning Challenges of PV Manufacturing

For the first time the Photovoltaic market has reached a point of saturation where supply passed demand despite the fact that falling silicon prices, higher cell efficiency and productivity were stimulating the market. However, it will be a matter of time until the second wave of strong demand will come. It seems simple but it will be challenging to accomplish after the breathtaking progress that has already been made by the industry in the last couple of years.

  • What are the critical drivers to initiate a long term growth?
  • What could be the common nominator for Photovoltaic to be captured in a long term Roadmap comparable to the Moore’s law?

The PV Fab Managers Forum is not just another conference but a forum to discuss the "burning challenges" of PV production between fab managers and equipment suppliers.

Register now and join us and be a part of this important executive forum. See you in Berlin!

Keynotes:

Status of the global PV industry
